Blazing orange, yellow, and pink clouds fill the sky and reflect off the smooth surface of Pocomoonshine Lake on a calm October evening in Downeast Maine. A rocky beach forms a long S curve across the foreground with some fall foliage on either side. We seldom have such blazing sunsets, with clouds that fill the sky, in this part of Maine--this was one of those rare occasions. Copyright 2013, Bill Caldwell / ABeautifulSky Photography.

About ABeautifulSky Photography by Bill Caldwell
Bill Caldwell has always loved hiking and the outdoors so his artistic photography is based in the natural world--landscapes, seascapes, and macro/close-ups of flowers, leaves, rocks, and driftwood, as well as abstracts created from his macro images. After earning his BA degree in industrial and scientific photography in 1978, he spent 20 years in the US Air Force as a Combat Search and Rescue (CSAR) navigator. Now he's pursuing his lifelong love of landscape and artistic photography along with his enduring interest in spirituality including certification in Integrated Energy Therapy (IET).
