Fall foliage lines the edges of Round Lake as the sun sets in Downeast Maine. The golden sunlight, clouds, and blue sky reflect off the glassy surface of the lake. I drove to this spot that evening hoping to get a nice sunset even though there were no clouds when I started out. By the time I got there, these lovely clouds started moving in. Bill Caldwell has always loved hiking and the outdoors so his artistic photography is based in the natural world--landscapes, seascapes, and macro/close-ups of flowers, leaves, rocks, and driftwood, as well as abstracts created from his macro images. After earning his BA degree in industrial and scientific photography in 1978, he spent 20 years in the US Air Force as a Combat Search and Rescue (CSAR) navigator. Now he's pursuing his lifelong love of landscape and artistic photography along with his enduring interest in spirituality including certification in Integrated Energy Therapy (IET). Although he's a bit of a nomad, he currently lives with his wife on the Oregon coast and he's amazed at the stunning beauty of the area as well as...
