The sun shines through scattered clouds, illuminating the rugged terrain in this beautifully uplifting contre-jour landscape at Zion National Park, Utah. It was a cold damp day with a sheet of heavy clouds covering the sky as I climbed up the trail to Observation Point. Finally, at the end of the day, as I headed back down the trail, the clouds started breaking up when I took this picture.
