Water flows through an ancient landscape in this beautifully uplifting sunset on the Isle of Skye, Scotland. It was raining all day, and there was a heavy sheet of clouds covering the sky when we arrived at the Fairy Pools in mid afternoon. I wondered if I would get any good pictures of this dramatic Scottish landscape because it was so gloomy. Then, about an hour before sunset, the clouds started clearing out, illuminating the landscape and revealing this beautiful sky! Digitally manipulated photographic art. About ABeautifulSky Photography by Bill Caldwell
Bill Caldwell has always loved hiking and the outdoors so his artistic photography is based in the natural world--landscapes, seascapes, and macro/close-ups of flowers, leaves, rocks, and driftwood, as well as abstracts created from his macro images. After earning his BA degree in industrial and scientific photography in 1978, he spent 20 years in the US Air Force as a Combat Search and Rescue (CSAR) navigator. Now he's pursuing his lifelong love of landscape and artistic photography along with his enduring interest in spirituality including certification in Integrated Energy Therapy (IET).
